WHY PLEDGE

The JAX Chamber and Connectable are partnering for the 20 in 20 campaign. This initiative was designed to inspire 20 JAX Chamber members to pledge to hire an individual with intellectual and developmental differences in 2020. Due to COVID-19, we are extending the campaign into 2021. 

Inspired by Chamber employee Megan Bell, with Down syndrome, JAX Chamber President & CEO Daniel Davis is encouraging the local business community to make the pledge. 

HOW IT WORKS

• Take the Pledge – By taking the pledge to hire an individual with an IDD, you are showing the community that you are an inclusive, innovative organization that is part of the Connectable movement.
• Identify Employment Needs – Next, a Connectable representative will help you identify types of work best suited for individuals with IDD. This will help us match you with a tailored fit for your company.
• Match with Employee – A Connectable partner organization will work with you and your HR department to carve out job responsibilities and support you in the onboarding process for your new employee.
